The Purple Dog Network was set up on 2nd June 2011 to promote UK Businesses. From very small beginnings, it has grown to over 45,000 followers and is receiving praise and recognition all over twitter.

Within just a few months, Purpledognet had already achieved a Klout score higher than Theo Paphitis and was regularly appearing in the top 10 most recommended twitter accounts in the UK on the #followfriday list.

The concept is very simple: You follow us, we follow you! You promote us, we promote you! (as long as you are a UK Business)

The network has a UK Business of the day slot every day which is hotly contested. Tomorrow’s UK Business is selected from today’s retweeters. As a result each day, the UK Business of the day is retweeted to around 100,000 tweeps!

Anyone can follow the network but only UK Businesses can be members. The network maintains several public lists which are really helpful starting point if you want to grow your following on twitter.These lists rank the entrants to our #purplebiz competition according to their star rating. We also list our  “UK Business of the day” winners and sponsors of the network.

In addition to the free services provided by the network, we also invite a daily sponsor of the network to be featured alongside the #purplebiz winner for just £30 per day.
