About Us

In 1988, CalTech started as a software development company in the garage of Bob Calabrese. When several of Calabrese’s employees left he sought out help to strengthen the CalTech brand. Enter Will Welch and Brent McCasland. Will and Brent, business graduates of Angelo State University, opened Outback Computer Service in 1995 with an investment of $600 and two credit cards! They brought along Outback Computer’s loyal customer base, strong financials, and the competitive advantage to give CalTech the boost it needed. The two companies merged in 1998, maintaining the CalTech Brand. In late 1998, Mr. Welch and Mr. McCasland assumed full ownership of the company. Since then, CalTech has experienced significant growth and continues to attract both great clients and talent to our family. CalTech has been named as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas for eight years running by the Texas Association of Business, the Society for Human Resource Management, and Texas Monthly.

Pretty good service. This is an ongoing issued I'd like to dig further into with the help of integris and am in communication with our primary to explore possible solutions. These machines are always cabled and powered but keep disappearing from the NOC. I suspect because they are not logged into except a few times each year by auditors/examiners. Specifically on this ticket, Integris techs struggled to install the NOC. I would like to review if our network settings need amended, noted, or trained. Thinks that seemed atypical to Integris techs: - our machines do not allow elevated privileges. Techs have to manually log into a CalTech account to install - NOC could not be installed from the network, due to permissions, but once run from the C:/ drive was able to be installed without issue. * I realize moving a program install to the C:/ is an old school troubleshooting step but it may be a good training point for Integris help desk; multiple people at Integris needed me to suggest this to them before they attempted it.
