About Us

In 1988, CalTech started as a software development company in the garage of Bob Calabrese. When several of Calabrese’s employees left he sought out help to strengthen the CalTech brand. Enter Will Welch and Brent McCasland. Will and Brent, business graduates of Angelo State University, opened Outback Computer Service in 1995 with an investment of $600 and two credit cards! They brought along Outback Computer’s loyal customer base, strong financials, and the competitive advantage to give CalTech the boost it needed. The two companies merged in 1998, maintaining the CalTech Brand. In late 1998, Mr. Welch and Mr. McCasland assumed full ownership of the company. Since then, CalTech has experienced significant growth and continues to attract both great clients and talent to our family. CalTech has been named as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas for eight years running by the Texas Association of Business, the Society for Human Resource Management, and Texas Monthly.

While this man is only a slightly above average man, he can perform solid backflips, and is extremely reliable when it comes to fixing ConnectWise and making terrible puns.

I opened the case on 5/11 and was able to log in to the site on 5/17, but none of the technicians that I spoke to at CalTech did anything. I was asked questions that I had already noted on my opening ticket, but when I asked technicians if they saw those comments on the ticket they said no. I feel that my original ticket notes were not even read. At one point I was asked to change the password. I had already explained that the username & password was provided by Fiserv to all of its outsourced customers to access the moviit site to download programs. Changing the password was not an option. My final discussion with Bruce on 5/26 was him saying that Fiserv probably fixed it to let us in. I said that I could get in but not from my computer. Also 2 other staff could access the site from their workstations. He said he didn't know that. I had told that information to Gavin Mugele on 5/17 and Gavin said he would provide that to Burce. Bruce said Gavin didn't tell him anything and he hadn't spoken with Gavin since before 5/17. Communication is poor at best and honestly I don't think the technicians were trying very hard to listen to what I was telling them.
