Ryan and Nick are great to work with. The error message I was receiving and forwarded to the Helpdesk last Tuesday said that I could not connect remotely because the security certificate had expired, but we first pursued the connection from my laptop to the RDS. I do not know much about computer issues, but it seems to me that we could have saved a lot of time by first looking at the Security Certificate, which ended up being the problem.
