About Us

KAMIND CEO and Founder Matthew Katzer stepped aboard The Rovos Rails in South Africa, preparing for his first trek, riding the full-size version of model trains he had assembled and tinkered with ever since he was a child. Growing up in the Midwest United States to a Mechanical Engineer Father and a College English Professor Mother, Matt never shied away from complex problem solving. Suffering from dyslexia ever since childhood, how Matt has viewed the world has always been different. With his brother and father having interest in automobiles, Matt decided to find his own passion, model trains. Matt’s love for these trains followed him all the way through adolescence, even leading into the infancy of his software career. Matt enjoyed assembling the models, now it was time to computerize the trains to run on a network of rails. Those moments assembling model trains in Matt’s childhood and admiration for his father propelled Matt into a career as an engineer, working with tech giants such as Ford Motors, Intel and Microsoft. While working with these organizations, Matt realized how his ability to solve complex problems could be transitioned to simplify technological issues. When Matt’s time working with the giants of the tech industry ended, that dream of computerizing the model trains of his youth never subsided and would in fact fuel the next step in his career. Matt turned his attention to developing technologies and systems. His strong drive to continuously learn and grow and a desire to help others, led him to start his own IT business. He quickly realized that many of his clients struggled to understand the technology that they needed to grow their business. This was especially true at the beginning of the cloud computing era. He started teaching classes for his clients and writing how-to documents. These “cookbooks” were so well-received that the next logical step was to write a book. His books on Office 365 have been on the Amazon list of best-selling technology books. Being on the edge of innovation has always driven Matt to new ventures. In his time working with inventive teams at Intel, handling security projects for the likes of the NSA, Matt realized another problem that needed a simplified solution – secure IT infrastructure. Always adapting as the factors around himself and his business continue to change was something instilled in Matt from an early age. With his time in the tech field combined with his years in competitive team sports, Matt learned if you collaborate and work toward a common goal you can achieve almost anything. With this strong foundation, Matt has now evolved his business into a leading Microsoft Licensing Provider with a focus on cybersecurity.

Tom, himself, tried hard for almost 4 hours (with a Microsoft Tech on the phone with him) to try to fix my PC. My PC would not INSTALL Windows 11 Office 365 because of (evidently) my Windows 11 Profile was corrupted. Microsoft SAID that if Kamind could free my MS licenses from the Azure Cloud, they would be able to help. As it turned out, Tom (and his team at Kamind) was not able to do this. Must have been beyond what Tom's technical expertise allowed. That night Kamind decided to reassign the case to Chris, and tell me that they could not help. I had to do one of three things, which Kamind COULD NOT or WOULD NOT do long distance. These three options would entail spending several hundreds of dollars with a LOCAL TECH firm. Kamind tech said that we do not have a Tech Support agreement with Kamind. We understood from the Microsoft Tech that the problem was with KAMIND and their Policies inside Azure. NOTE: Delviom created NO such policy which precluded Kamind from performing the simple fix prescribed my Microsoft. Turns out we did, on our own, the second of the three options Tom / Chris said we'd have to do. NOTE: I believe this was a simple fix which was made overly difficult -- in time invested and time wasted -- on everyone's part. We hired Kamind to sell us and host for us Office 365. Because of a Settings issue, which Kamind could not or would not figure out, i was without (proper) use of my PC for almost two days. Solution: Rather than recreate or replace the Profile, we had to back up my had drive, re-format the hard drive, and re-install Windows 11 and Office 365. Someone from Kamind should have figured this past out SOONER than the NEXT DAY. And THEN have been able to put it into EFFECT from a distance SOONER than TWO DAYS LATER. We ARE buying Office 365 from and HOSTING it with Kamind -- and Kanind's Azure policy kept this from being an easy fix. Why did it take so ling to figure this out?

Transfered all of my information over to my new laptop after a few frustrating attempts at getting my old one to work. Took his time and made sure all was taken care of. Thanks.
