In 2006, Jim Simpson left Victory and the private sector to pursue public service. He served President George W. Bush as Chairman of the St. Lawrence Seaway Advisory Board, Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration and most recently as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Today Victory Worldwide Transportation Inc., is recognized as a leader in domestic and international household goods and commercial relocation, fine art and antique moving and storage, as well as special commodities, tradeshow and IT server and data center migration. Victory has received numerous accolades and international recognition. Victory is the only transportation company to receive the United States Department of Commerce International Trade Award for Service Excellence and for creating international trade opportunities between the United States and Taiwan. Victory was one of four finalists of the Ernst/Young/NASDAQ Entrepreneur of The Year; the American Moving & Storage Association Employer of the Year; and the Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business of the Year.
Victory has been recognized by clients such as AT&T, Lucent Technology, Bell Communications Research, Mobil Oil and LSI Corporation (formally Agere Systems) as a Supplier of the Year. Victory Worldwide Transportation has also received numerous awards from Unigroup, Inc. and Unigroup Worldwide UTS from 2005 through 2010.
